Avenge to an adversary (Luke 18:3)
Glory be to God!!!
Avenge to an adversary
"Saying, Avenge me of mine adversary " Luke 18:3
In our christian life we don't have wrestling against flesh and blood or not with men. We have wrestling with the wiles of the devil and its spiritual wickedness (Ephesians 6:11-12). Therefore our adversary is the devil. Like a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). When we consider here walketh about not to devour all. Walketh about to devour by finding that person whom he may devour. The devil tries to devour the man child, the saints who overcome ready to be delivered by the woman which is the church (Rev 12:1-4). The devil walketh about to eat or to devour those who desire and encourage to prepare themselves to be taken up at the coming of Christ. In the garden of Eden devil came with one headed serpent (Rev 20:2). But in these last days we could see satan working with full might, with seven head (Rev 12:3). Therefore it is necessary for our God to avenge against this adversary the devil and save us. We need to be kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time (1 Peter 1:5).
Jesus through His death destroyed him that had the power of death, that is the devil thereby He overcome death and resurrected (Hebrews 2:14-15). Therefore on the day of resurrection of the dead hearing the voice of the Son of God Jesus, all the dead will be raised (John 5:25,28-29). Especially to consider it happens at the sound of the trumpet when the body raised and transformed whom worthy for the transformation (1 Corinthians 15:52). When we learn about the appearance of the Lord who comes to gather they that are His (1Corinthians 15:23) the Lord shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God (1Thessalonians 4:16-17). We see these trump and noise are the voice of the Lord that rendereth recompense to his enemies (Isaiah 66:6). Therefore at the coming of the Lord when we are transformed and taken up the sound of avenging the adversary the satan will be blown and we will be gathered in the eternity.
But we need to understand whom and how will be avenged and saved (Luke 18:7). We read God's elect will be avenged and saved. When we learn the more about this elect they are foreknown according to God the Father and are predestinated continually called by God through repentance and baptism they are justified (Romans 8:29-30) and received sanctification of the spirit by the Holy Spirit thereby living with perfect obedience in the presence of God (1 Peter 1:2). Not only that they are sprinkled by the blood of Jesus and cleansed from all sin and unrighteousness, washed by God and received sanctification (1John 1:7,9).
As such in the spiritual life of the God's elect we could see certain specifications. Firstly, they are chosen by God (Mark 13:20). Since many were called but few were chosen (Matthew 22:14) in order that even we too to be chosen we must be diligent to make sure our calling and election (2 Peter 1: 10-11). Secondly these elect are holy unto God (Colossians 3:12). On that day He gather unto Him the saints those who made covenant with God by sacrifice (Psalm 50:5).Thirdly they are beloved unto God (Colossians 3:12). Let us exercise ourselves to be longed for and dearly beloved unto the servants of God the representatives for God (Philippians 4:1). Thereby God please in us and we'll become God's beloved sons (Matthew 17:5). These brethren who are beloved unto the Lord, God hath from the beginning chosen to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth (2 Thessalonians 2:13). These elect will obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory (2 Timothy 2:10). God shall send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet thereby avenging the adversary and gather together His elect from the four ends for eternal salvation (Matthew 24:31).
In order that these elect to be prepared for the eternal salvation and God to avenge their adversaries they found to be crying unto the Lord day and night (Luke 18:7). Its because when Jesus says about this matter, watch and pray always that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man (Luke 21:36). Pray without ceasing is the will of God concerning us (1Thessalonians 5:16-18). Not only that God who fulfill the desire of them that fear Him, He save them by hearing their cry (Psalm 145:19). Therefore not only when we are awake but also when we are sleeping our heart must be awakened to hear the voice of the beloved that knocketh (Song of songs 5:2) watch and pray always (Luke 21:36). Let us always speaking within ourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord (Ephesians 5:19).
So that we could see God bear long with His elect who cry unto Him day and night (Luke 18:7). When the Lord God says about Him, He clearly says He is long suffering (Exodus 34:6). It is for the blessing for certain things in our life. Firstly, the Lord is longsuffering, and of great mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression (Numbers 14:18). The High Priest which can be touched with the feeling of our infirmities because of His longsuffering forgives all our shortcomings and faults (Hebrews 4:15). Secondly, like the people of Israel showing stubbornness and rebelliousness yet God forsookest them not because of His longsuffering (Nehemiah 9:17). "I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee " thus saith God (Hebrews 13:5). Thirdly, God is longsuffering to us- ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). God desires that the church, each individual should repent and return to first love and do the first works (Rev 2:4-5). Fourthly, the husbandman our Lord desires to see us as the precious fruit waiteth patiently so that we to receive the blessing through the early and the latter rain (James 5:7). Thereby we'll be changed as the pleasant fruits in all manner at the Lord's appearance when He comes to gather the fruits (Song of songs 7:14). As such we to be gathered at the Lord's appearance His longsuffering is salvation unto us (2 Peter 3:14).
We read though our God bear long with them yet He avenge His own elect and save them (Luke 18:7). Revelation 2:16,3:11,22:7,12,20 in these verses Lord says His appearance is very soon. But we know until now our Lord not yet appeared. Therefore when we say our Lord's coming is very soon we must understand it as all of a sudden. Jesus lest coming suddenly find us sleeping He says to all to watch (Mark 13:36,37). Because our Lord whom we seek comes suddenly to His temple. Behold, He shall come, saith the Lord of hosts ( Mal 3:1). Death seize us all of a sudden (Psalm 55:15). In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye we'll be transformed (1 Corinthians 15:52). Those who are worthy to be taken up at the coming of the Lord or the overcomer the man child will be caught up suddenly unto God and to His throne (Rev 12:5). We must take heed the day of the appearance of the Son of man come upon us unawares (Luke 21:34). Therefore be instant in season, out of season (2 Timothy 4:2). Let us always be watchful for we know not when our Jesus comes, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning (Mark 13:35-36). Thereby let us prepare to meet our Lord (Amos 4:12). Our God make ready a people who made themselves ready are prepared for the Lord (Luke 1:17). Let our God help us to get prepared thereby let us tarry to meet our Lord.
